Unfortunately, as of now, Meta has only launched its iOS and Android apps which means that there isn't a straightforward method for using Threads on PC.

Part 1. Can You Use Threads on PC?
Yes, you can definitely use Threads on PC.
The Threads App is developed by Meta, the company behind Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram. Speaking apologetically, it's a facelift of Twitter with different branding. This new microblogging app lets you post, share and build threads of communication. At the time of writing, Meta has launched apps for iOS and Android only and doesn't have clients for Windows, Mac, or Linux.
However, Meta has said that it will soon release the official clients of Threads for PC, but to experience the thrill of threads on PC right now, follow the tips below.

Each of the below methods contains a detailed guide and requires focused attention. Make sure to read and follow each step carefully. With that said, let's get started:
Way 1: Via Threads Web Version (Win, Mac, Linux, Chromebook)
Although there is no desktop version for Threads, there is a web version for Threads. Follow these steps to use Threads Web on PC:
- Step 1.Launch a web browser on your PC and navigate to https://www.threads.net/.
- Step 2.You will be presented with the options to log in with your Instagram account, sign in with your account to continue.
- Step 3.Then you can see the web interface of Threads.
- Step 4.You can now browse the posts on Threads using your PC.
Although you can access the web version of Threads by entering the URL of a thread's profile, for instance, you can type https://www.threads.net/@zuck to go and check Zuckerberg's Threads account. However, the Threads Web version has some limitations: you can not post a Thread, like, comment, share, or repost a Thread.
But don't worry. There are alternative methods using Threads on PC. Keep reading!
Way 2: Via Subsystem for Android (WSA) (for Windows 11)
Windows 11 comes with a subsystem feature that allows the PC to install apps on the system through the Amazon Appstore. The Amazon Appstore comes bundled with the Windows subsystem for Android, and we need this subsystem to install Threads.
This may sound a bit complicated, but here's our attempt at simplifying this explanation:
To install Threads on your PC, you need the Windows subsystem for Android, which will automatically get installed if you download the Amazon Appstore on your PC.
So, let's start off by downloading the Amazon Appstore on our Windows 11 PC.
Step 1: Search Microsoft Store in your Windows 11 search bar and open it.
Step 2: In the search bar, type in Amazon Appstore.
Step 3: Click Install.
Step 4: On the next dialogue box, select Download.
Step 5: Once downloaded, close all windows.
Now that we've installed the Amazon Appstore, the Windows subsystem for Android should've already been installed with it.
Step 6: On your desktop, press Win + Q; this will open the search bar.
Step 7: Type Windows Subsystem for Android and click the app.
Step 8: Once opened, click on Advanced settings on the left panel.
Step 9: Next, toggle ON for Developer mode.
So far, you've enabled the system to install Android apps. Now to install Threads, we'll download the Threads from Instagram apk. Remember to install it from an authentic site like APK Mirror. It'll look like this "Threads an instagram app ……". Here's how to follow the whole process:
Step 10: Go to apkmirror.com on your computer browser.
Step 11: In the search bar, type in Threads Instagram.
Step 12: Click the download button for the latest version of the APK.
Step 13: Select the correct variant of the APK to download. For Windows, this should be the x86 version.
Step 14: Click DOWNLOAD APK.
Now we've got the APK file downloaded on the PC, and what's left is to just install it. To do so, you'll need to sideload it through an app called WSA Sideloader. Here's how to do so.

- Step 2. Scroll and search for your Linux distro. Let's say it's Ubuntu.
- Step 3. Once found, launch the terminal.
- Step 4. Now paste all the commands one by one into the terminal.
- Step 5. Once all the commands are copied, go to the app menu and locate Waydroid.
- Step 6. Change the Android Type to VANILLA and click Download on the apps dialogue box.
- Step 7. After the downloading is complete, click Done.
- Step 8. Now download Threads APK, as we explained above in the Windows section.
Once downloaded, open the terminal and type in the following commands one by one.

(After this command, replace com.instagram.barcelona.apk with the complete path and file name of the Threads apk you downloaded.)
